The playground equipment, all very close together oddly enough - I would imagine probably for the use of very small children.
About half of the space is just open, possibly (unoficially?) reserved as a skating rink or similar like a number of other spaces I've visited lately.
The laminated sign is a bit glarey but what surprised me, and what wasn't obvious from google map, was that officially there are two other IRs nearby: one to the immediate north off Savitie, and one at the top of the location map, mostly cut off.
So, I'll show you the other two shortly (don't get too excited). However, before we go any further I'd just like to explore the possibility that these spaces are largely here because the ground is marshy and in need of drainage. There's a waterway to the south-east of this estate and you can see the very prominent drain cover above. Also, this picture of the street known as Hatolantie suggests a swale.
